tb2571989 Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hi (again). I have a Promethean PRM-25 projector in one of the classrooms. The Power light flashes 5 time, then the ready light flashes 5 times after that. It doesn't respond to the remote and turning it off at the wall, as much as I hate to do it, brings both lights on for a minute and then it goes back to flashing. The manual says 5 power led and 5 readly led blink means "Lamp extingiushed during normal operation" and I'm not sure what this means or how to sort it out. Is there a reset combo on the remote?
cmssbrie Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 Hi there, This sounds like the lamp in the unit has actually failed. I think the normal procedure would be to either try this lamp in another projector of the same model, or try a known working lamp in this projector from another unit. You might be best giving our Tech Support team a call - there may be some warranty on the lamp (if of course it is this that has failed). tb2571989 Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 I will swap the bulb for one from a projector that works and see if that does indeed make a difference. It's a bit of a surpirse it has failed, it had only been installed for two months and in use for less than two weeks.
