We use Vericool. Can't say I would recommend it. Getting support is like pulling teeth as is getting an admission there might be an issue with the software!

 

Im with you on this one, installed a few months ago, but the tills keep loosing there mappings and then wont work ect.. support not the best either.

AMI do a good system called Easy Trace, which can be used for Cashless catering, and also much more, i.e allow students to register from class rooms via touch pads, access control to doors (find staff mainly use this), printing control. lockers etc, and they also now offer Biometric access rather than key card.

another vote for cunninghams we had an other system before this that didn't work at all never have a problem with cunninghams

My only issue is that it is not Cunninghams.. theyy just sell it for a scottish company CRB.. so when we had issues we had to chase various other parties...

It's the same system in theory. Cunninghams deal with the south of the country and CRB with the north and scotland.

Just thought id update this... we have had the cunninghams system in for 2 weeks now and things seem to be ok with it.. The first few days, we had a problem with it but we managed to iron these problems out. The only problem we did have though, was that groupcall updater was get to run once every day, so that meant if a student was to start on the monday they wouldnt appear in the impact/biostore system until Monday night, their suggestion was to either give the admin girls Remote acces to the server or they phone me up to force the task.. so i created an MMC which pointed to group call on the server and now the admin girls can run the task themselves.

 

The overall install took about a week and they managed to go through all our school i a day, when they had allocated 2 days.

 

We have one of those reval units and i prefer to use this rather than using parent pay, at least i know im dealing with hard cash.. but maybe thats just me. The reval unit kinda reminds me of the parking meter in Wallace and Gromits Grand day out... to be fair.. it looks like a parking meter but does the job.

Another one for Cunninghams here. Was installed during October half-term, and the only thing I have had to do since the 1st day, is give them a logmein session last week, so the could get the kids that join in September on.

We had a Yr6 introducation day, and during the day, we wanted to get them all finger-printed to make September easier.

I learnt the other day that they are just a reseller for CRB in scotland. So when one of my friends at another school wanted to suggest improvements, they advised him that "they would pass it on"
