[sims] Pick out latest result in report

I have been asked to create a report in SIMS that pulls in results from various aspects butI can't work out how to only return the latest result.

 

So if I have an aspect called 'Maths result' with many results entered can I just pick out the latest result entered?

 

I can see that you can filter the results by result date but I don't think that this helps much as you need to know the date that the result you want was entered on.

hmm think I got it: I can filter by result set as well to pick out the correct info.

Do you use the result set? We use the result set for each term such as: Year 7 Term 1, Year 7 Term 2... So when we link the aspect to the result set, the result will come out in term such as Maths effort grade Year 7 Term 1. If we do a report filter it with the result set, we can have the latest one.

I'm not sure that I understand exactly your problem but I hope it can help.

Sorry I didn't exactly explain it very well (I am not that used to creating reports in SIMS).

 

But yes, we do use a result set for each term so I can filter by the correct set
