imac unable to log on to MS Domain

I have added an Imac to our MS AD domain but can't for the life of me get the darned thing to log onto the domain

 

The Mac is OS X version 10.6.2

 

Server 2008 Domain and the Mac does appear in the DHCP but not AD

is it connected by wifi or a cable?

Time server! Set your Mac to use your network time server, it's usually the Kerberos service denying the login as the clock skew is too great.

 

Also - you say you've added it in AD - is that through the Directory Utility in OSX?

If it is not showing up in AD under the Computers OU then it has not been joined as a workstation, not sure if this means that it has not bound to AD propperly ad 10.4 used to add a computer account to AD also. As 3s-gtech above states make sure that the clocks are aligned to within 5 minutes of each other and I would also try rebindind it to make it show up in AD (they may have changed this bit so not 100% certain on the last bit).

Time now synced - it was 8 minutes out.

 

No it's not appearing in AD but is visible in DHCP.

 

I added it via the OSX Directory Utility.

Hope you've managed to progress with this. All I can suggest is removing the Macs from AD and re-adding them - check to see if they appear in the Computers OU then. It's very simple in 10.4-->10.6, and doesn't need further steps unless using OD also.
