Hi all, just a remider to an intial post I put up a couple of months back about getting you guys together in Blackpool at the R3PLAY Arcade, Retro and Video Gameing Expo at the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool (R3PLAY || Arcade, Retro & Video Gaming Event || Blackpool || 6-7 November 2010). Several of us will be there, and if anyone else cares to join us you will be more than welcome. We shall also go on a tram ride to the Who shop (Who Blackpool, To a new world of Gods and Monsters) and treat you all to a meal. It'll be an overnighter and you can get rooms from £30 a night (The Norbreck Castle Hotel - Welcome to the Norbreck Castle Hotel, hotels in Blackpool).

I think it shall be a great couple of days for any of you that care to make the journey.

So, who's intested?

You really will go to some lengths to get out of having a drink with me won't you!!

 

The event organisers should have checked my availability before setting their dates!

I can't make it unfortunately :( as I will be in Prague

I forgot to add I will be there looks good fun :) So meet up on Friday night after work then exhibition Sat and Sun departing late Sunday is that the plan

I will be there from Sat morning onwards. It's bonfire night on the Friday, so it's family time :)

As regards to the hotel reviews, I'd thake them with a pinch of salt in the main. It's a cut throat business and you'll often have rival companies writing poor reviews fo competitors hotels!

ooh I didn't twig with that bit, silly me!

 

For those worried about the hotel reviews, its one night its not as if its a week :p

OK, thus is a final heads up. The event is ticket only and they will stop selling them online as of Wednesday, after that you can only get tickets from the Who shop in Blackpool. 2 day tickets are £20 and will NOT be on sale at the door. Apparently they have sold over 2000 tickets so it's goign to be quite well attended and tehre is supposed to be a game launch takign place during the event. if anyone would like me to get tickets for them (as long as I know you and know you are going) I shall take a trip to Blackpool again this week and get you some (pay me back on the day obviously!!). All in all, it looks like a pretty good event and I'm looking forwards to it :)

:) What a bunch of party poopers the rest of you are :p Its looking like a great weekend of events looking at the website :)
