Because of this, I'm having one last weekend of debauchery arranged by my best man. The location will be Prague. The evenings will consist of the usual stag do events - drinking, drinking & drinking. Everything is almost arranged, but I've been asked as to what kind of day activity's I would like to get involved in? I've never been to Prague before so am unsure what kind of daytime events are available in Prague? Can anyone suggest some quality events? I'm guessing there are things like paint balling, go-karting etc there? Any ideas welcome!

Don't know the exact details, but they started firing at the mini-bus when it drove off so they didn't last long. Reckon you've got to be careful in prague. I've heard all the nightmares of going into a bar and being charged £70 for two drinks.

Wenceslas Square has the usual mix of Burger King and local restaurants. Pork (and dumplings) appear to be the main ingredients of most food dishes.

Can't be much use on the daytime events I'm afraid, but there are some great live jazz bars in Prague if you're in to that kind of thing! The lads here did some paint balling thing. sidewinder Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Not been, but from hearing other peoples experiances you might be better off going somewhere else in the Czech Republic. Apparantly since Prague has become popular with stag do's, prices have skyrocketed compared with elsewhere. Plus maybe it would be cooler to go somewhere a bit more unusual?

A place reknowned for sex, drugs and drinking (among other things), and he wants to take a guy who doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs, and is getting married...

We went round Prague castle over Easter - the pre-recorded guided tour we got (one of those handset devices with an English-language explanation that you walk round with at your own pace) was very long-winded and rather expensive (£30-ish each, I think). A proper guided tour by a proper tour guide might be better value, and more interesting. For some reason, puppetry seems popular, and there's a bunch of puppet theatres catering to the tourist crowd - we wound up seeing a puppet-acted opera, in Italian, with explanation in Czech. That was confusing. Pork (and dumplings) appear to be the main ingredients of most food dishes. That and bratwurst. The pork-and-dumplings were actually quite nice, and if you get a little way away from Wenceslas Square the portion sizes get better - the old town, over the other side of the river, is probably a good bet for a decent Sunday lunch. -- David Hicks Edited July 15, 2010 by dhicks
