duncane Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 I'm getting the occasional machine that claims that the flash plugin isn't installed, even when it definitely is, and shows up in the list of installed programs. The plugin will have been working fine for ages, then will suddenly give up the ghost. Has anyone seen this problem? Do you know why it might be happening and have you come up with a solution? The users of the machine can't install software, so it's not like it could be a failed upgrade (unless Adobe are doing something wrong?) Thanks.
localzuk Posted July 15, 2010 Posted July 15, 2010 Same thing happens here randomly. Drives me mad. Only solution I've come across is removing and reinstalling it. I've not managed to figure out why its doing it either. EDIT: A bit of research turns up that you should try running the Adobe Uninstaller (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) and then reinstall. 1
witch Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 See my thread: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/59891-flash-ahhhhhhhgghhhh.html You're not alone
ron Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 We had this problem. We would install flash on the image but it would also be deployed through GPO. We stopped installing flash on the image and left it to deploy through GPO and not had any problems since.
