I played recently in Southampton, it was one of the cheap entry we provide everything venues. Unfortunately the balls were priced at £7 per 100 (online they are £27 per 2000) so the games were very expensive and spoilt the fun.

However, what a blast and boy did I ache after all the exercise. The ball hits did not hurt as much as I had been led to believe. Most of the games were spoilt by a small group of cheating chavs who refused to play by the rules, even ending up cancelling a game by shooting at players from the dead zone.

We use a relatively new site that we are helping to get off the ground. A whole days play with a burger for lunch costs £25 if you got all your own gear and £35 if you need to rent it all. You then need to buy balls in bags of 500 but these cost £5 (1p per ball). Cheapest place I have every played and been playing for 20 years. Edited by BrotherSidious

Airsofter here: Get to really 'play soldier' as you get kit that looks real (real enough that they're illegal in public - but not at proper designated sites), full auto plus with some kit you get a good bit of recoil. (A friend of mine almost dropped one of my sidearm rifs due to the recoil!).

And its cheaper.

I'm also an airsofter. IMO, much better than paintballing due to the realism. The ability to customise the weapons is brilliant. I use a scoped AUG and an HK416 with grenade launcher (fantastic fun to fire into a building :p) and red dot site.

I go to a site in Layer Marney just outside of Colchester. £20 walk on fee and £15 for equipment hire including gun with 2 mags, cammo, mask and 2000 bbs. Not a bad price :)

"airsoft first step to be coming a tranny" ;-)

Well, it's all in the spirit of the thing. Besides, What's wrong with being a tranny?!

Still, I'd be interested to see just how many of us there are that do either paintballing or airsoft.

:D

I was getting very annoyed at them, shame I was out of balls.

I always make sure I have a spare pot for cheaters. Nothing like 20 hits in a couple of seconds to make them reconsider :D
