Help,

Our only copy of our site vanilla disk (xp pro October 2001?) has just exploded inside a pc, has anyone got a spare unused one lying around or how do we go about getting a replacement?

Cheers,

Andy T

Long shot but you didn't by the off chance use RIS or anything like that imaging wise where by it created an ISO or image of the xp disc before it exploded / shattered into pieces ??

Future reference you might want to use something like img burn

http://www.imgburn.com/

along with iso buster or magic iso to extract all the data and make a backup bootable copy of the disc.

If you use VL then RM should of setup the account for you - I'd contact your RM account manager and find out.

Once your in (and as Andy said) all you need do is download a copy of the ISO and burn it to CD/DVD.

If you went through RM then you would have used Select licensing which doesn't give you access to the MSVL site (edit: I believe). Edited by sparkeh

You might want to burn a "for use" copy and keep the origional as a backup when you get it back.

Jumping onboard the WDS bandwagon would help as well - faster installs and best of all no disks!

The Official ImgBurn Website

I did create a slipstream DVD disk with sp3 and the ulitmate driver pack included using Nlite, but for some reason when I try and create a VM machine it won't join our domain so we need to go back to basics lol
