googlemad Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Got a evaluation machine from Stone, believe it is based on a Intel DG41RQ motherboard. Anyway compared to previous year systems, the BIOS is incredibly slow! From power on to XP splash screen is around 25 seconds. I know it isn't huge but on a system from last year the XP desktop can be up on the screen by the time the POST completes on the DG41RQ! Any ideas?
PRicho Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 Unplug the card reader!! We have a Stone Eval machine... same issue same mobo.
K.C.Leblanc Posted July 9, 2010 Posted July 9, 2010 I had a simular issue when a whiteboard was plugged in to a particular computer.
Andrew_Sharrad Posted July 16, 2010 Posted July 16, 2010 Hi, This was solved by a BIOS update - I'll link you to the Intel update, as it comes with an easy Windows update utility - BIOS Update [RQG4110H.86A] Regards, Andrew
