garethEds Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 No 64Gb, 'nuff said! Yeah I saw that. Still I'm not bothered about that. GJE
DrCheese Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I'll be buying, my 3g is so slow nowadays, drives me crazy at how slow it is just checking messages. I am very happy with the update. The only annoyance is that they hold back the contract free phones in favour of selling them with a contract, I'd rather buy the device outright and just insert my rolling monthly contract. That way if I fall on hard times it's a ton easier to cancel my service.
tmcd35 Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Oh don't get me wrong. I'm over-excited and will 100% be getting one. It'll just be 16Gb is all (I have 8Gb 3G atm). Can't justify the extra cost of the 32Gb. If they'd gone for a 64Gb model I'd have paid the extra in a heartbeat.
FN-GM Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 maybe this should be moved into the Netbooks, PDA and Phones forum?
GrumbleDook Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 maybe this should be moved into the Netbooks, PDA and Phones forum? Yep, it should be ... as it is about iPhones and not Macs. I'm waiting to hear from O2 about the upgrade path for 3G owners as I want to keep my old 3G for a SIM only deal for my better half (with a new number ... or rather her existing number moved over) and I'll get an iPhone 4 and move my number onto that.
DanW Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 i'm waiting to hear what vodafone's deals are i'm hoping for a handset only deal, gonna take the plunge and get a 32gigglybit model a nice jump up from 8gigglybits on my 3G

pritchardavid Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Hopefully 02 will do a great upgrade deal for exising contract users.
pooley Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Waiting to hear if O2 will buy me out of my remaining Contract and allow me to upgrade from my current 8gig 3g
soveryapt Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 It looks like (from the Keynote speech) that Apple are trying to work with Providers to bring some nice update packages for existing users, and (I know it's not here but) AT&T are looking to offer a 6 month early upgrade package as one of the main providers. It is a shame that they haven't done the 64GB, but they will be probably be saving that one for the Christmas Market.. lol.. P.S. I'm on a 3G at the moment and purposefully haven't upgraded since coming of my contract in February so that I'm free to move if there's a better deal elsewhere .. lol ..
Butters Posted June 8, 2010 Posted June 8, 2010 Fingers crossed they offer early upgrades. I'm on a 3GS but will get a 4 either way but would rather they offer the early upgrade.
DrCheese Posted June 9, 2010 Posted June 9, 2010 o2 early upgrade info O2 | New iPhone | Early Upgrade Offer
