Hi Guys,

In my EBD School I support a specific little darling keeps on accessing things he shouldnt games and such. permissions are locked down as so is his account via gpo.

Wondered if anyone had any tips of how to remove everything so he can only acces word and excel.

Thanks in advance!

mandatory profile with no access to start menu and just shortcuts on his desktop to work excel etc. plus a shortcut to his network area aswell as everything locked down via gpo

If he's not on task in lessons, it is up to his teacher to discipline appropriately. If this is happening in 'free time' such as breaks, lunch and after school, then the appropriate response from me would be to remove access during those sessions - as he is abusing the privilege.

The problem here isn't one which can be solved technically, it is one that has to be dealt with as part of a normal whole school disciplinary procedure.

Software restriction policies - will need to set a OU for just those applications below the one you currently use for students and only permit those executables.

Hi guys thanks for the response. In my OP i stated the school was EBD...Emotional Behavioural Disorder so he gets told over and over again but no avail.

Im thinking the software restriction policy sounds good, only allow word and excel and any other apps the teachers think he should be able to access.

personally i think the best way would be a bat :-D
