Dell Optiplex 780 on RM CC3?

Anyone Tried to get an Optiplex 780 building on CC3???

 

I am having lots of trouble with drivers - no matter what I do with GFX/SOUND/LAN etc drivers it starts throwing up errors when it tries to join the domain. The network card is working however as if I log on with Setup user it has the network connnection right and can even get to Setup's my documents.

Are you building from the build area or as a SmartClient?

Yeh trying from the build area. Not having much luck at the moment!!!

We got ours on fine, all except the Sound Drivers. Just installed these manually after they built, but we only have a couple of these so wasn't too much effort. Wouldn't like to do it for a class full of these.

 

Yet another example of how outdated CC3 networks are, in a world of modern technology.

 

I'm in the process of creating a test Vanilla network. Can't wait to turn to the boss and say "you know how RM did this, well look what vanilla does too, and it's easier"
