Hi,

I have got a problem with a HP 5550. I am being told that it is the toners we are using. They have been working fine for the past few years and these are all half full. But i can't see why it would just start happening now. Anyway i have tried a full set of another make of remanufactured toners and the problem still happens.

I am being told that it will need HP original toners. But they cost a mint. The last thing i want to do is buy some and we still have the problem. Does anyone have some HP 5550 Cyan & Black original toner i can borrow to test please?

Thanks

I suspect you already know this, but HP support (and their agents) will always, ALWAYS blame ANYTHING on 3rd party toners if they find out you have them. Sadly I no longer have access to the 5550 I had in the past to lend you one and prove them wrong.

Can't you just tell them that you have tried them and that it is still no longer working? Sometimes as much as it's not always the best way forward is just to tell them what they want to hear.

Its not an HP repair man its someone who comes around who we have a contract with. So its not just as easy as a quick fib.

All the colours are out. There is like a shadow when you print, asif it needs a calibration. Calibrating it doesn't help at all.

I done the following so far

Tried another fuser

Another Belt

4 different toners.
