5n1ff3r Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Hi, Is anyone aware of a manufacturer of a Samsung nc10 Battery Charging Station that will charge batteries simultaneously when they are not in the notebook. I am aware that HP manufacture a 5 bay charging station for their netbook range. any info would be greatly appriciated. 1
powdarrmonkey Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 We have QChargers and they are fine. Just one thing I'd watch, the contacts are easier than Dell chargers to bend, because the batteries just sit on top really. That said, ours are holding up pretty well to user abuse.
SimpleSi Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I never even knew such things were made - what sort of price are they? regards Simon

VirtueTechnologies Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Gents, If i can help with getting some prices to you please drop me a PM and i will more than happy to. regards zak
powdarrmonkey Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Ours were about £700, so sadly not cheap, but well worth the money for reducing hassle. We've even managed to get them self-managing
SimpleSi Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 How many will it charge at a time for £700? And @sniffer - why do you need them for NC10s - the batteries last 3 days (well slight exaggeration) - I've never had 1 die on me in real school use. (Unless you were caught out when Samsung shipped some of them with a couple of AAA ni-cads instead of the 6-cell lithium ) regards simon
powdarrmonkey Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 8, from memory, and they include an on-screen display of characteristics and individual LED charging meters. Don't know if this is the same model, but it looks similar: Qcharger : Osborne Technologies Ltd

5n1ff3r Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 SimpleSi, They are running out of battery life during the 4th period of use, this is why we are looking into the charging units. ps. not caught out with ni cads!!How many will it charge at a time for £700? And @sniffer - why do you need them for NC10s - the batteries last 3 days (well slight exaggeration) - I've never had 1 die on me in real school use.
