bikeman17 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Hello all. Does anyone know if ActiveTeach software is compatible with Fronter. I was reading the manual and talks about installation on VLE. It directed me to a website. Website is requesting id number, username and password, just waiting to obtain these details from a member of staff. Can anyone confirm if ActiveTeach and Fronter are compatible?
Edu-IT Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 I'm almost certain that Fronter supports SCORM and ActiveTeach comes as SCORM packs (right?) so yes in theory.
big_guitar Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Yes, ActiveTeach produce SCORM packages compatible with Fronter.
Jamo Posted April 27, 2010 Posted April 27, 2010 Yeah we have a couple of ActiveTeach packs on Fronter. The MFL ones were good basically an interactive textbook.
enjay Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Presumably the same applies to other Scorm-compatible VLEs, e.g. Frog, then?
rpwillis Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Presumably the same applies to other Scorm-compatible VLEs, e.g. Frog, then? Although SCORM is a standard, it's big, complex and can have different interpretations. Before spending money on content or a content creation tool always check that it works as expected with your VLE/LMS.
enjay Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Before spending money on content or a content creation tool always check that it works as expected with your VLE/LMS. It is more the other way around for us just now - we already have some SCORM content and are now getting the VLE to go with it.
john Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 Fronter claim that it supports ActiveTeach stuff, as for trying I've been waiting for over a week for my LA to tell me an easy way to upload over 1.4TB of Activeteach to Fronter.....
