We thinking of starting to use qr codes to promote learning materials that are stored on the web and on our two learning platforms. I was wondering do you know of any QR websites that allowing you to create links to rooms on Fronter or Sharepoint 2010? Thanks in advance.

We are investigating how we can make our MLE more productive by adding 3rd party applications. I have requested this information from Fronter Support and it will take a while before I hear from them. Do you guys know of any companies out there who provide add-ons to the Fronter MLE?

Yes DaveMurphy, our school website is based on a CMS. Everything works great just the calendar feature is stopping as going forward with DudaMobile. Will looking into Google calendar option and WordPress plugins. I'll report back once I've had a good play...

Just to let you know I have tried DudaMobile, its great as it supports Android, Windows, Apple and Blackberry. But this online software is having difficuluties extracting our school calendar off the website. Any tips?

My school is looking to have a mobile friendly app using their existing website. Do you guys know of any website that allows you to use existing website and extracts key information to a mobile friendly version? Thanks in advance. Bikeman17

Hi - Once you have created your room do the following: Click on Calendar and Notices icon > select 'Edit Properties' from the drop down menu on the right > Tick 'Enable Fronter Bridge' > Save. Now your room will be available to external members. You will get a request on the 'Members' tab but you'll need to check frequently as this service does not send an email notificatoin. Hope this helps.

Hello all. Does anyone know if ActiveTeach software is compatible with Fronter. I was reading the manual and talks about installation on VLE. It directed me to a website. Website is requesting id number, username and password, just waiting to obtain these details from a member of staff. Can anyone confirm if ActiveTeach and Fronter are compatible?

Would the read access allow students to submit h/w into the handin folder. Majority of our teachers tend to use the test tool/forum/vote so its ideal to give them write access. Any new features in the horizons?

Its getting better over here, But i have just noticed for the majority of the rooms the members page is taking looong to load. How strange!?

As some of you know, registering Fronter related can now be reported using Fronter. In our school, we have three users who use the one admin account. To use the new system, I was told to create a new admin account with my name and email address as this will help them track registered issues. Does anyone know how to create admin accounts?

Hi, I have just tried that and it don't work. I have uploaded the video which is .wmv format, right clicked and selected properties - copied the address url and pasted this url into the embedded coding you provided above. When i click save all i get is a box with an 'x' appear. any advice?

I think deleted contents such as comments posted on forums/chat/sticky/uploaded docs can all be restored if deleted. There is a change of in the region of £120ish. We had a similar occurance with a forum.

The other user will need to go into display all rooms and select the public rooms tab. This is where the new room will appear. User will have to apply for membership to gain access. I have just tested this and works like a treat!!!

Just spoken to FronterSupport and it is quite simple to set up. When you create the new room you have to check public to make the room public and also select the radio option 'let people apply'. So what I have indicated on my previous post is correct. When the room goes public and users in the Borough start applying for membership, the room owner can decided to accept them as member or decline their request.

I am not sure if this is the solution to my question maybe you could shed some light. When i create a new room or edit a room it gives me the following few options. Public Rooms can be private or public. Non-members may either see only the room description in public rooms or apply for room membership Let people apply Only show room description Is this solution to my question?

Yes our council has bought this VLE as package to supply to all school in the same boroughs. I hope this helps.

Hello everyone. Is there an option to create a room where we can share resources with other schools who are using Fronter. Ideally I would like to a create a room, make a teaching staff the owner of this room and allow this teaching staff to accept invitiation from external Fronter users. Is this something easy to implement? Thanks
