Fuel costs

As has been mentioned the 'not buying fuel from *insert oil company here* on a certain day' etc. type things don't work. I used to work in Fuel Card sales for my sins and basically we were told it doesn't matter which company you buy fuel from because in a given area all the fuel will come from the same refinery. For example if you live anywhere near Liverpool (and probably into Manchester too) you are going to be buying fuel that comes from the Shell refinery at Ellesmere Port whether its bought from a BP or a Texaco or an Esso or a supermarket.

 

Whether this is still true or not I don't know, what I think though is there should be massive subsidies of motorbikes! This way I could afford to have one again!
