Me too. Then jobs that do appear always seem to go to internal candidates.

I got stitched by that a couple of years back.

Was sat there in the lobby of "a private school which will remain unnamed" with 4 other candidates, then a 6th candidate wandered down from upstairs, removed his school id badge and replaced it with a visitors badge. Turned out he had been working there as a temp for 6 months, and they were only going through the motions to get him employed.

3 Technical tests, a formal lunch and 40 minute face to face interview later, what a waste of a day.
