SimpleSi Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 (edited) To get to Today's Posts I seem to have to click on Whats New and then I'm not allowed to click on Today's posts until 8 seconds have passed as forum reckons I've already done a search by clicking on what's new. Or is there another (quicker way) of getting to Today's posts? regards Simon Edited May 18, 2011 by ZeroHour 1
srochford Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 http://edugeek.net/forums/search.php?do=getdaily will get you today's posts. 1
SimpleSi Posted April 14, 2010 Author Posted April 14, 2010 Ta I wonder if that could be linked direct from forums?
ZeroHour Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Cheers for reporting, I never noticed it as admins on vbulletin dont/cant have search restrictions. I will have a think on what to do about it as you dont want duplicate items everywhere as such. I will add a link at somepoint soon to the forums tab as it has relevance there.
markcuk Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 yeah happens here to but i think more if not logged in
ZeroHour Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 yeah happens here to but i think more if not logged in It should be consistent for both as if I had a choice I would reduce the limit a lot for members.
leco Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I got this message today whilst going through my pm's - don't know if it's related to the same thing.

I know I keep barking on about it, but "Today's Posts" is a feature I used a lot on the old system - the new way works fine, but that search delay is a nuisance.
ZeroHour Posted May 7, 2010 Posted May 7, 2010 I have reduced the delay to 5 seconds which should hopefully help until vbulletin provide a work around.
Harlquinth Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I've had this same problem with it coming up with a search delay message when opening the homepage and then using the search button - does the homepage do a search in the background or something? Thanks, Harlquinth.
