I have a quick question that I have been trying to get answered. I have searched through the net but have seen different answers. I was told by a coworker that when a MS Office License purchased, the same registration number can be used in up to 3 computers. Meaning that with the purchase of one license three computers can us MS Office. Is this correct? On a side note, i have been purchasing licenses for my company every other month. Is there discounts for this or only if bought once in a bundle? Please let me know so I can save face or have a valid answer for my coworker.

Thanks

AFAIK - only the Student and Home version of Office has a three install license. All other versions are 1 PC only. Which licenses are you buying? How meny PC's do you have that need Office? If your company needs more than 5 copies then you may want to look at either Open or Select license agreements which are (alot) cheaper then buying Office off the shelf.

Thanks tmcd35 for your reply. I have been purchasing Microsoft Office 2007 Standard because Outlook is a requirement. I usually get informed of a new hire or the requirement of a new pc about every other month. Not a usual flow, but its been happening lately. I have to look at the Open or Select Licenses because it might be better off to have some in reserve.
