Well today was the Launch of Netsupport Manager V10. Its key new feature (well for me at least!) is Vista support, they have catagorically said that all previous version WILL NOT support Vista or work with it.

I can agree that V9 doesnt work with it at all. So all those that have NSM (and I would assume NS School will change as well) and have / are thinking Vista are going to need the new version, and if you haven't got maintance on your licence its going to cost you.

They have an offer on for this month for early upgraders so may be worth doing it now rather than leaving it 18 months or so until you go Vista. Also, if you have no maintance and your release of NSM is over 12 months old its even more expensive to upgrade to the new version, so maybe worth thinking now rather than getting your nice shiny new Vista PCs and thinking it will be fine then being hit with a bill for a few thousand pounds of NS upgrades.

http://www.netsupportmanager.com/ is the microsite for the new NSM V10.

True, I did know that but Vista is final now, so I hope you are working on finalising the code for it as the VL downloads started today and the media kits are avalable from the end of the month so I do hope you are finalising and getting ready to rock and roll.

John,

We certainly are working hard on it, as you know we supply RM so they are keen to get a Vista version for their Tutor 3 product too (and Viglen and Ranger etc).

It's been a real pain in the ass but most of the hard stuff is done.

Yep certainly is.

We've got offices in German and the US but all development and support is done in Peterborough, or to be more accurate a small town about 10 minutes north of Peterborough called Market Deeping.

I will say the support is excellent at Net Support, its very good and very British, no dodgy indian call centres for them now (and I hope never in the future either).
