If you like this sort of thing you might want to check out '1 Giant Leap' - a pair of musicians who have travelled the world with their laptop getting fellow musicians to contribute to a song. They built two albums this way - '1 Giant Leap' and 'What About Us?'. Here's my favourite example from the '1 Giant Leap' album...
