jj99 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Ive been using MSCCM to do software updates and the like, for a little while. However we are planning on migrating to W7 at some point and I would like to use SCCM to do this. We currently use ghost for xp. Has anyone managed to do this? Im struggling to find guides, they are all based on WDS and don't seem to pull across to SCCM! Also can anyone recommend a good book for SCCM? Many thanks

Sagima Posted March 26, 2010 Posted March 26, 2010 I have got a pdf guide from the sccm forums which I used when I was looking at deploying xp and vista that was quite helpful. Also got the administrators companion by Steven Kaczmarek which was pretty useful in an overall sense of the software but it was the os part of the guide that was the most help with imaging. They are both for the initial release but it hasn't changed much in R2. We've been using SCCM for imaging our pc suites and laptops for two years now. Going to spend the easter hols setting up my W7 images. have attached it.Operating%20System%20Deployment%20in%20Configuration%20Manager[1].pdf
