Bloody hell thats massive...i would ask it to start paying rent!!! that big?.... i think not
FN-GM Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I saw a few huntsmen when i was in Queensland a few months ago. Also had a brown snake in the garden! Them huntsmen are weird they can jump big distances.

Once I was watching TV late at night in bed, the TV being on level with the bottom of my bed, so my eye line had the mattress in view. Sort've half awake, I see the silhouette of a spider come across between me and the TV 'OH WHAT THE!', out of bed, light on, mattress in the air, got the little beggar in a glass and out the window! He/she/it crossed the boundary.. I'd never kill em them though, just escort them safely outside

I will leave a spider be as long as it leaves me alone and keeps a distance, but as soon as it crosses that line...out the window you go!! But seriously...i couldnt bear to have that in my room full stop!!!

Disease Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 When I used to live in Brisbane as a kid I used t collect Red Backs in a jar and keep it by my bed. I liked spiders until I went into the garden to climb the tree that was there and put my hand right next to a massive huntsman. Ever since then I have hated spiders. For anyone who lives/Lived in Brisbane I lived in Goodna.

elsiegee40 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 This 'little' beautie was living in the porch of the house we rented when on holiday in Florida. It measured about 5cm across. Somehow our entrance and exit through that door was very rapid and the kids always remembered to shut the door behind them for a change spider.bmp
