are there any problems running delprof when students login to machines?

I'm thinking about running delprof to delete all the profiles initially and then adding it into the batch script that runs at login. This was i think that it should only need to delete one maybe two profiles each time a student logs in which should only take a few seconds as all our student profiles are mandatory and less than 10mb

Personally, I prefer not to run scripts at login if I can possibly avoid it as it slows things down.... even a couple of seconds seems like an age at login.

Logoff is better as people are happy to logoff and walk away leaving it to get on with it.

My personal preference is shutdown... again shutdown, switch off the monitor and leave it to get on with it.

You will run into permission problems if you are trying to run it on logon/logoff. This is due to normal permissions set to folders eg the user they were created under. Use startup and shutdown instead and it will run as system.
