ianniow Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Well that is what it is saying. When I take the side panel off and watch the fan while trying to start the server, the fan starts and then stops a number of times and then the server beeps and tells me fan5 failure which is the processor1 fan. I am also having great difficulty in finding out how to order one of these fans. Help
mrmontymick Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Why don't you try here: HP PartSurfer Put in the Serial No of your machine or the product no, select your machine from the search results and it will give you a list of all parts available for that server type - it's normally fairly comprehensive. Once you have the part no any HP Supplier should be able to get it for you - if you have a half-decent supplier they can probably find the product number of the part for you anyway.

ianniow Posted March 15, 2010 Author Posted March 15, 2010 Thank you for your helpful replies and have now raised a warranty request
ianniow Posted March 17, 2010 Author Posted March 17, 2010 Just a Quick update. (I am sure no one is interested) DHl tried to deliver at 18:48 last night But they did return this morning. I opened the package to discover a lovely new Chassis fan So I am still stuck with a dead server waiting for a processor fan
