speckytecky Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Recently after a huge amount of help from EduGeek folk published the web site for the main school I work at the HT recently asked me to take a look at Sutton Veny School to see if I would be able to get any of the bells and whistles on it (Blackboard etc.) to run on our Joomla site. I took a look but it's all a mystery to me - Javascript:confused:
rush_tech Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 It looks to me that the whiteboard is just a jpeg image, which you could easliy publish to a module position in joomla. The java script is for the news ticker at the top of the page which are available for joomla 1
Hightower Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Why is the blackboard named whiteboard? It's so clearly a blackboard to me
DaveMurphy Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 You could get a picture of a blackboard and then use it as a module background... that could work, then the text would appear over the blackboard. 1

mb2k01 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Why is the blackboard named whiteboard? It's so clearly a blackboard to me I'd put money on it being a "politically correct" related change. I had a wierd conversation with a teacher along these lines earlier in the week which makes me wonder how much further in to the pit of dispear this world can sink in to! It's a fricken BLACK board. Calling it that isn't going to offend any sane person of any non-white ethnicity!
djones Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 This one seems to be the exact one! Quick search for 'blackboard' on Google Images brought it up on the first page. Wonder if they have permission to use it... 1
