I'm going to dust off my old Brownie and take a trip up the hills after work!

I can't believe it, I was talking to someone about that picture only an hour ago... we both wondered where it is and whether it might possibly be the most viewed picture in the world.

The Teletubbies Kids programme is filmed on a farmland just southwest of Wimpstone village, near Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire.... so I'm guessing its real....

 

but for now... looks like they made it to California for a holiday.

I can understand where the photographer was coming from. I did the same - stopped and photographed a hill for no real reason a couple of years ago:

 

Reminds me of a few years ago; I was driving to Rome in a big Mercedes Sprinter van with a mate/colleague on our way to set up a conference set.

 

We were taking it in turns to drive - and at this particular moment in time, I was having a 'rest', spread out across the 2 passenger seats.

 

My mate is a very keen photographer himself, and was quite excited at the prospect of driving through Tuscanny on our way through to Rome.

 

All of a sudden, without warning, on a quiet country road in Tuscanny, the van lurched to the side of the road, then came to an almighty stop, launching me into the glove compartment and then onto the floor (OK, I was properly belted in )

 

Awoken so abruptly from my little nap, it became apparent my mate had pulled up to take a picture of a tree, on top of a hill.

 

And it never was a very good picture!!

I saw that a while ago - it's also on Google streetview - if you spin around, there's some ugly pylons - I'll try and find the streetview link......

That's amazing... seeing it in context of its surroundings it looks nothing like what we're used to. It's like a different place!
