Hi All,

We have relocated a few of our old IT Suite machines inton classroooms and they will be now standalone machine not connected to the network.

I have taken them out of the domain and into a Workgroup and created a new local user. However, when i log in as his new local user, i get a message saying

Program Manager

\\PCNAME\NW_Profiles\Administrator\Desktop is not available. You might not have permission to use this network resource.

How can i stop this happening?

Cheers

Do you have a redirected dekstop setup on the main network? If so i think it will be that

If you replace the defualt profile on the machine with the default one from a clean XP install and bin any other left over profiles it should fix it.

Some old legacy piece of software is trying to run at startup - check whats in startup folders and msconfig.

Thanks

Incorrect. It's a left-over redirected desktop.
