Lol, nothing so sinister. A friend who works for a small drug awareness charity needs a software program to use on a laptop they use to record interviews. Sometimes they might need to alter the voice to preserve anonymity. They don't have much money so are looking at freeware.

Bear in mind that if you run a voice through a simple distortion one way you can simply run it back through the other way to recover the original voice. You might want to check to see if the voice distortion you are using can be reversed or not before you trust people's anonymity to it. -- David Hicks
Guest Biccies Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 You can't retrieve the original voice if you don't have it all in the newer version. For example, taking away the higher frequencies.
