Kaleidos

Without giving me the opportunity to take a look at it first (typical), my school has invested in Kaleidos - another virtual teaching environment thingy by RM.

I've had a brief look but was wondering if anyone else uses this and how they find it. Apparently, it's a big hit in some places :?

We had the same situation here. Someone bought it after seeing it claiming it is the 'bees knees' and I don't think it has been used much in the three years we've had it. And at near £20K it's a big waste of money so far...........

 

But, what I've seen does look really good. It ties in with other software and offers teachers an excellent teaching tool. It's a case of getting it used to give it value for money.

 

RM are coming in to re-launch it again for us here as we've had a turnround of staff recently. I can't comment on ease of use etc. as I'm not in a teaching situation, but the teacher who does use it likes it.

apparently feedback i have got, from a number of schools/network managers, is it pretty RUBBISH!

We spent the money on this and no one bl**dy uses it either.

 

Waste of time and effort installing it
