Robocopy is what we use get a copy of robocopy.exe and place it in the same folder as the script. This one copies a Default User profile from netlogon over the local Default User profile. The R: switch is the number of retries and W: is the wait time between tries, it then logs to the C: drive so you can see any errors.

\\domain.sch.uk\NETLOGON\robocopy\robocopy "\\domain.sch.uk\NETLOGON\Profiles\Default User" "C:\Documents and Settings\Default User" /E /PURGE /V /NP /R:10 /W:30 >C:\robolog.txt

You can download it here http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=9D467A69-57FF-4AE7-96EE-B18C4790CFFD&displaylang=en

By profile you mean user profiles?

If you are using vista or seven you also need registry edits as well (apparently).

Shouldn't this be happening automatically when the user logs in anyway?
