Pink Dell screens - Can't reset..HELP!!!

We have Dell 1908 Fpb 19" TFT monitors which were all new in the Summer of 2009.

 

The Kids have worked out how to make the screens go pink and at the moment we cannot reset them. Aaaaghhhh!!!

 

Have tried factory resetting the monitor, changing the VGA cable, checked the pins in the plugs, adjusting the monitor colour scheme, re-installed video drivers and nothing.....still pink!

 

Anyone had this problem or got any ideas?

 

Anyone from Dell out there who has any knowledge of this model of monitor?

 

All help appreciated.

I have had this happen with some of our screens and they were replaced under warranty as faulty...I was able to reduce the red level in the screen setup and that helped until the replacements arrived.

 

A major colour shift like that is usually down to hardware failure.

Although it's a different monitor, the general instructions may still apply (although the menus will probably be slightly different, I'm sure you can figure it out though)

we had a spate of this here found that the kids could access the graphics card settings via hotkeys disabled hot keys

Ours are usually the connection or adaptor on hi def splitters and damage to the connector on the card.

We had the same thing with one of our Dell workstations. We re-imaged the machine and the problem went away, so it must have been something software / driver related, although I never bothered finding out exactly what.
