6Foot2 Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) http://www.acropdf.com/pdfspeedup.gif PDF Speedup is a completely free software to speedup your Adobe Reader. It works by disabling the unnecessary plugins of your Adobe Reader. Arthur Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Where's the button to uninstall Adobe Reader? Although v9.0 is pretty fast already, dealing with the constant security vulnerabilities is a pain. I wonder how many home users are using an old version of Adobe Reader and don't even know they have trojan's/rootkits like Alureon/H8SRT on their computers?

dhicks Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 That or just install something along the lines of fox it reader or pdf xchange I think I'm going to be doing that anyway - our install of Adobe Acrobat CS3 interferes with the browser plugin for Adobe Reader, so now you can't view PDF documents inside a web browser. Hopefully using a different PDF viewer will fix thisproblem, or does anyone know if the utility above will sort out that issue too? -- David Hicks
