are the nuts and bolt clips you screw switches into cabinets universally standard? only u don't get them with 3com switches and we've run out :-S (

They are standard yeah, but depend on the type of cabinet you have (round or square holes etc...).

Those are the standard M5 ones we have everywhere here. You can probably get them cheaper than that too (we have just used up all of our spares).

I found this out yesterday, that when 3com switches say "comes with rack mounting kit" it sadly doesn't include the bolts etc. :( been scrounging around all my cabinets all morning to get enough together.

 

This fun has been compounded by realising that no matter how much I check and double check technical specifications, compatibility, fibre connectors... I should still go down and measure to make sure the shiny new switches actually fit in the damn cabinet :doh:
