3Com VLAN Issues

Does anyone know how to reset password on 3Com VLAN switches...

 

I took over support at school from previous providers and they left a password for the switches but this is does not work so presume they changed it and failed to document. Anyways the company has now gone bust and I have no one to contact.

 

The problem is that when a client plugs laptop etc into one of the intelijacks it sometimes picks up a admin address when they were configured for curric and the oposite happens from time to time. ( Seperate Domains)

 

I can login as guest on the switch but it does not allow to alter or reset settings.

 

Thinking of just replacing the entire switches but trying to see if I can do anything first.

If you've got the switch model number look it up on the 3Com site there may be user/admin documentation for it. The admin manuals are pretty comprehensive and should give info on how to reset. Though you may find that the switch needs to be reset to factory settings and thus re-configured from scratch.
