itgeek Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Hi I have deployed a gpo for the background image of all staff machines. The only problem is that when the laptops leave the network the background goes to black. Is there any way to change this? The background is on the server, how would I overcome this? Thanks
chrbb Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Copy the background to the local computer and change the path on the gpo?
chazzy2501 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Copy the background to the local computer and change the path on the gpo? As chrbb says. I'd use Client Side Preferences with your existing GPO to copy the file to the local drive and set the new path.
itgeek Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 Hi the only problem is that when the user logs on they get the gpo. If they are not on the network they cant find the gpo which will say look c:\...... Thanks
