Right everyone, I'm having a argument with the desktop manager here and need you lot to solve it once and for all........

 

We have an old mac pro computer (g4) running software version 10.3.8or9 can this be updated to snow lep or not?

I think the consensus is that as long as your G4 or G5 has a reasonable spec, it should be pretty happy running Leopard 10.5. Since that's the last ever Mac OS that will run on those PowerPC Macs, it makes sense to try it out. Leopard and Snow Leopard look so similar that you can have Intel 10.6 machines and PPC 10.5 machines running and most students won't notice the difference, other than the speed.
