New job :-)

I've just been offered a partnership with a local business I trained up with :-D, so my old job is up for grabs!

 

I think it will be advertised later on this week, so I'll add more details when I get them... but if they re-advertise my job exactly it'll be term time only for around £16500. The staff are all really nice and compared with a few other schools I've worked in quite good with technology.

 

We have about 300 PC's, 150 laptops (3 laptop trolleys), most rooms have a smartboard, 4 servers, Ruckus wireless, the Life Channel, Smoothwall, SLG and hardware and server support from ICM.

 

There's a really good, friendly atmosphere here and we generally have a night out at the end of each term and there's no teachers vs support staff divide that many schools suffer from! There's also a mixed ability staff 5 aside football (has been up to 7 aside before though) after work every friday (players permitting), and by mixed ability I mean they'll take anyone to make the numbers up, I've scored twice in the 40 or so games i've played and one of them was an own goal (yes, i'm that rubbish)!!!

 

Most importantly, for some bizarre reason the staff here seem grateful for any kind of ICT help etc they receive, many of them apologizing every time they ring me/email me despite me insisting it's my job to help them!

 

I have had a really good year and a bit here, but the offer I've had is too good to turn down!

 

Anyway, the school is 'The Community Science College @ Thornhill' and is in the Kirklees district of West Yorkshire. The Community Science College @ Thornhill
