UPN Index - Link Request

Does anybody know of a DCSF website that allows you to find a students UPN? This would save a hell of a lot of chasing around trying to find them! Any help would be greatly appreciated as it is census day!

I don't think such a thing exists... but your LEA should be able to help if you're struggling

You could always issue a temporary one to get the Census off, then worry about the correct one later. That's fine to do AFAIK

Seriously, do it - if the LEA have a problem with it (don't think they will - and I've done hundreds of Censuses - used to work on a SIMS helpdesk) they'll contact you then you can take the opportunity to ask them to track it down for you;)

Just give the LA a ring, they can look it up if they're from within the LA (or ever have been).

We do the same - offer a temp UPN then wait for the students old school to send us the UPN details - or constantly chase them up to tell us over the phone!

Yep - as far as I recall this is usually an LA job for the data team up there.
