Alprimo Posted January 20, 2010 Posted January 20, 2010 At BETT, Studywiz had advertising on big banners outside and on the doors as you entered but did not show up on the stand they booked. I heard different explanations from people about why they were not exhibiting. Does anyone know what is happening with Studywiz in the UK?
laputa01 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I would be very intrested in hearing what happened. We have been with Etech for 4 years now. What were the rumours floating around? 1
HodgeHi Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Hopefully nothing. We have just started to use our StudyWiz after a long period of waiting.
dwhyte85 Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Based on technical support... they'll turn up in about a week. 2

I heard all type of rumours from minor things to armagedddon! Don't know what to believe that's why I was asking if anyone knew exactly what is going on?
dwhyte85 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 (edited) At BETT, Studywiz had advertising on big banners outside and on the doors as you entered but did not show up on the stand they booked. It's a bit like the software, promises one thing and delivers another ;-) Edited January 22, 2010 by dwhyte85
Alprimo Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 Just heard.... The UK branch of Etech has entered into voluntary administration. This explains the BETT situation!!
laputa01 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Also probably explains the delays in support calls
Alprimo Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 I have heard from two different sources, one of whom showed me a confidential email sent from a local authority to all of its schools. I have looked and could not find anything official from Studywiz/Etech online.
dwhyte85 Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Hmmm. Will this mean we have to go to AUS for support or does it now mean we have no support route (or at least soon to have no support route).
NewOrder Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 The latest and some good news Studywiz Press Room
GrumbleDook Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I have been told that they were doing some financial restructuring ... and they could not commit to anything until is was sorted. Hopefully no-one loses their job under this and that schools with outstanding issues can get sorted.
powdarrmonkey Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 This explains a lot... maybe our tickets will get answers now!
dwhyte85 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I am still worried, we had monsterous issues with escalation paths - maybe they'll revise support structure too. Hopefully the chaps wont lose jobs and they will soon become as knowledgable as the AUS staff... escalation times regardless of SLA were terrible.
