Popular Post Michael Posted January 20, 2010 Popular Post Posted January 20, 2010 Hello all, As many of you are aware a new exploit in IE was used against Google and many others to attack their networks. Tomorrow on January 21st Microsoft are planning to release an Out of Band Security Update. It covers IE6, IE7 and IE8 on all platforms: Windows 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008 and Windows 7. More details here and here. I would highly recommend you patch at the earliest opportunity! 7

cookie_monster Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 lol you lost me Sorry, silly star trek joke. Someone is being kept under duress until they are broken the test is to force them to admit to there being 5 lights when really there’s only 4. I ask you again is the 21st or the 22nd
gshaw Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Seems to show up in WSUS as a Security update rather than Critical one... wishful thinking on Microsoft's part there?
cookie_monster Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Seems to show up in WSUS as a Security update rather than Critical one... wishful thinking on Microsoft's part there? I thought security updates were considered critical by MS.
Michael Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 KB972270 is considered low, but KB978207 for IE is most definitely critical.
elsiegee40 Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 thought today was the 22nd Yes, today's the 22nd It's just my fingers failed to type what I was thinkling which is that some of us may not have noticed the fix came out last night.
