What does 'Edugeek' actually do?

I'm sure it does DB but I would imagine this site generate a nice income. I counted at least 20 forum sponsors. Then there is revenue from from Buy Focus and the Acer Outlet. I keep reading how admins / mods give their time for free to help run this site, don't you think that's a bit unfair when you are the one who is benefiting financially?

 

All your posts just seem to be angry and troll like! When you pay a subscription to this site come back and moan where they money goes! No one else has any issues with who gets what money from the site and I think your insinuation that the very nature of the forum is being exploited for personal gain just insults the people that work the hardest to provide what we have.

That means I actually gave my own money to help support the site and if that went to DBs credit card repayment or car repayment then so be it he has to earn a living just like the rest of us! But until your own money is being spent I think you have no right to question anything!

In the early days when we made no money and I paid for EVERYTHING out of my own pocket a lot of our members who belived in what we did helped out by donating, which helped with hosting etc. Now we can afford to do this ourselves we see no reason why we should accept money from our members. This is the differnce between US tech forums which tend to be a bit dry (ask question, get answer, go away) and us (ask question, get answer, and hang around for a coffee). We are a community first and formost, which is why it works so well.

EduGeek is one of the few sites I bother clicking on their adverts as I trust they will not go to some virus-riddled scam site. It's also the only site I have bought something after clicking on an advert due to said item being recommended on here.

 

EduGeek has a good reputation and it's growing. Just wish I could have visited BETT (Partly needing a new mug for the office. )
