Hi Guys

It seems that run we try to use this on windows 7 from the shared folder of this from the server it doesnt work, xp it does work this way.

Everytime I install it on the manchine itself, it cant connect to there server. Was told it had to accept some https links. So I this is the trust site in Internet Explorer. Still does work. This is where because I looked at the server that has the program on it, and those links are not on there, so not surpirsed that didnt work

I'll grab a screenshot tomorrow to beable to show you the problem better, has I dont think im really explaining it well

Need this to work to be able to deploy windows 7 in certain rooms, has they use it in those rooms

if im scanning that right you installed symphony to a network share (for the sake of argument i will call it \\server\apps$ drive r: so the programe would be r:\Symphony Learning\SymphonyMathematics.exe). It works happily on xp clients (thats pretty much how i have it set up as well) and can confirm it should though they dont recommend it but the same setup on a win7 box has issues?

what happens if you copy the r:\Symphony Learning\ folder to the local win7 box so c:\program files\Symphony Learning does that work?

are both of win7's firewalls on if so try killing them and see what happens

Havnt tried it yet on win7 only school i have with lics for 7 are on staff laptops which in this school i can go years between seeing so i am curently shoveling xp onto them

well it works on xp no problem, just install it put in the logon details and proxy

so its nothing to do with our proxy blocking anything

They say its compatiable with windows 7, I just cant see it

Yeo even tried disabling the firewall

Hi, Did you manage to get this resolved? I have the same problem with this application. Works fine on Vista but our new Windows 7 workstations dont work, its as if its being filtered.

Cheers.

Yer I got this sorted

It was either runing it as a administrator for it to apply the settings (need to copy to a computer to run it, cant run as admin over a network folder/drive)

Or it was just a newer version of the software that just seemed to work
