Need advice - daughter stuck in France - Easyjet!

Hi - need some advice from reg travellers who've experienced Easyjet flight cancellations.

Daughter (17yrs old) and 2 mates making way to Charles de Gaulle airport but I heard guy on BBC say all Easyjet into Liverpool have been cancelled for today.

No postive information of this on Easyjet website except that lots of flights cancelled.

Anyone got any practical advice?

I can see a large credit card bill coming

Eurostar to Kings Cross - Euston to Unknown territory beyond Luton all paid for by you because your a great dad and she will never have to pay you back!

£475 for 3 Youths one way from Paris Nord to St Pancras I think there is a cheap bus from CDG to the station then you have the cost of the one ways to Liverpool.

It would be cheaper to book them into a Hotel for the night and hope EasyJet can fly tomorrow!

write her off, you can always have another kid....

(...joking :D )

I'd go with LZ above, bedding down and waiting for the next running plane would be better, getting a train through the south east in this weather is a nightmare (hence i am working from home today)

Disaster has turned into adventure :)

Easyjet have booked them into a hotel for 2 nights (not expected to leave until Sat morn).

I'll be down back tomorrow to top up her account so she can eat :)

NEVER EVER EVER rely on Easyjet website for info - or even the 10p/min telephone line (hidden on page 43 on website).

I wouldn't want to travel with some one who can't even update a website - even now the easyjet website has not said the flight is cancelled !!!!!!!!

Easyjet cancelled a flight on me once when I was trying to get home from Athens.

I went out on the town with my Greek mates whilst I waited for the replacement aircraft, got back to the airport checked in got a proper slap up nosh with wine in the restaurant courtesy of stelios then as we boarded the man himself handed out signed letters of apology and refunded the cost of the return leg.

I don't belive half of what people say about them, when they screw up they normally try to fix things.

When your late or don't read the small print you deserve the butt kicking they dish out!

Sounds like they have had a result, so party in the Buddah Bar on dads credit card sounds like a good idea!

Check the airport departure/arrival boards for more accurate information.

Even when my daughter was at the check-in desk - the departure board said flight was on - the person on desk couldn't explain why the board said the flight was on when they'd known it had been off for the previous 7 hours!

This is one of those where you had to be there otherwise you'd think I was making it up :)

The fact that they are putting them up in hotel and feeding them just about stops me from taking some very extreme measures - when you get daughters - you'll understand!

I don't blame anyone for things going wrong - I really really don't like it when its is obvious that it would have been trivial to provide information on how wrong it was going.

John Lennon airport site was first one to confirm that the flight was cancelled - that was about 1800.

There's nothing on there now because ezy7046 for Thurs 78th is not within their current display window. (Which is fair enough - they have lots of flights/carriers and its not up to them to tell public that Easyjet have given up!)

But I'll put a large wager that they beat Eazyjet to publishing tomorrow if(when) its cancelled again :)

My main problem was that I couldn't convince the parent paying for this trip that they wou;dn't be coming home - they just wouldn't believe that Easyjet had cancelled the flight but had not put it on their website!

Well fingers crossed

If easyjet are using one plane to shuttle between CDG and LPL then one came in at midnight :)

Its due to take off this morning at 7:30 (sched time is 7:15) so if it flys out - I'll start to think we might have a chance to get her home if weather doesn't change.
