Web Based Asset Management

any know of any web based asset management system. We want to use it for pc, laptops, projectors, whiteboard etc.... I also think the bursar wants somthing central for other items as well non IT items

We use Service Desk plus, it’s very useful but not the cheapest solution.

we use sharepoint - searchable, import/export to excel etc. been using it for nearly 3 years now

Spiceworks. Not sure it will be suitable for anything other than IT equipment though.

Spiceworks here too. Should be workable for non-IT stuff as you can create your own group and device types and such like and manually enter the items.

Used to be a ServiceDesk user until it became very expensive and unreliable in its updates. Now using OCS, linked into our helpdesk software GLPI.
