Axel Thin Clients and Facility CMIS

We are currently looking for a thin client solution.

 

We've heard good things about Axel, but no one is quite sure whether or not they support Facility CMIS?

 

Has anyone had experience of Axel and CMIS?

Not a fan of Axell.. Have you looked into VMware.

We've had 50 Axels now for a year - absolutely marvellous - no fails, really low power, fit neatly on the back of a VESA monitor.

 

How are you going to run VMWARE - on 50 base units with all that baggage?

we run hp thin clients that boot a custom linux (over lan). that loads vmware. works for us.

 

to be honest i just prefer the backend of vmware.

Axel terminals support Vmware Viewer (all versions) and XENdesktop - if not already equipped, any Axel terminal can be flash upgraded to support these environments. Takes a few seconds with a free f/w upgrade.

 

..or if by Vmware you mean virtual servers rather than virtual desktops - that shouldn't have any bearing on any thin client device...

you looked at Sun Ray as an option ? What backend are you looking at VDI or WTS ?
