Just installed it on Ubuntu 9.10 apt-get install guake), looks good but not sure if I will take to it yet. I'm used to having many terminals open around the desktop anyway.

you can get a new terminal tab with Shift+Ctrl+t (Shift+Ctrl+w removes one)

Yes that works well for Gnome Terminal but my preference is to use screen than multi-tabs.

 

The reason to have many things open for me is usually sysadmin stuff like, NMON, multitail, watch .......
