XBOX 360 Problem

hi,

 

i recently bought an xbox 360 which unbeknownst to me was banned from xbox live, i understand that xbox wont change there policy but i was wondering, i have bought a new one but it did not come with a hardrive, if i put the hardrive from the banned xbox into the un-banned, will the un-banned xbox get banned?

The console is banned from Live, not the HDD. Googling suggest that you can put the HDD in another console, but not connect the console itself.

that wont work, apparently muine was flashed which is a differant method and does not involved any kind of phisyical tampering

from what i've read, the HDD and the account are not banned just the physical xbox.

 

so adding the HDD should just work as normal

I'm not an expert on modifying xboxes but the last time I read about it it required the dvd drive to be flashed with firmware patched with your key which could only happen by physically opening the unit to get to the sata cable to read said key from the drive and then inturn write the patched firmware back on.
